Casting Call: We want YU (Darvish)!

Sports Studio is looking for a Male baseball player, ages 18-35. Specifically we are looking for a Yu Darvish body double.

You do not have to be a pitcher, but you need to be athletic and have baseball experience. You should be right handed and be between 6’3-6’7 in height and 210-225 lbs. Ethnicity is not an issue. This job is Non-Union.

Sports Studio is looking for SAG male baseball players, ages 22-35 in the Los Angeles area. In addition, we are looking for coaches and umpires, ages 30-60. All ethnicities. Looking for all positions. Need to be paid up SAG. This is for a commercial for Nexium.

'42 (The Jackie Robinson Story) CASTING CALL

Sports Studio is helping our friends at Catrett-Locke Casting (CLC) look for baseball players for the new feature film, ’42, based on the Jackie Robinson story. We will be looking for experienced baseball players, between the ages of 22 and 38. Training Camp and Shooting will take place through the end of June.

This film will be shot primarily in the Atlanta, GA and Tennessee areas. Interviews will be held on March 27th and 28th at:

Atlanta, GA 30318

Baseball Players should stop by anytime between 9am-7pm.
Umpires from 5pm-7pm.

On-Field tryouts will be on the 29th and 30th for those invited.

Necessary Roughness Season 2 (CONTINUOUS CASTING CALL)

Casting Call: Necessary Roughness Season 2

It’s that time again! Sports Studio is looking for football players, coaches, trainers, referees, etc for the upcoming season of Necessary Roughness. This series will begin its second season- shooting in Atlanta, Georgia. Below is the info for the Open Casting Call for Season 2. The series will begin shooting March 7th and run through the end of August.

DATE: Wednesday, February 29th, 2012

TIME: 10:00am-2:00pm (You can stop by anytime during that window.)

LOCATION:

AMTC Offices (Actors Models Talent for Christ)
2000 Powers Ferry Rd., SE
Marietta, GA 30067

At the corner of Windy Hill Rd. SE and Powers Ferry Rd. SE

PARKING: If you enter off of Windy Hill, there is a parking structure behind the building. Parking is free. You can park in there and take the elevator to the 2nd Floor. Take the walkway and follow the signs to the front of the building.

WHAT TO WEAR: If you are interested in being a football player, wear workout gear and tennis shoes. If you are interested in being a coach or trainer type, dress the part (Polo shirt, pullover, khakis, black pants, etc)

WHAT TO BRING: If you have a headshot/resume, bring it. If not, no worries at all. We’re going to take a new picture of everybody.

This will be an interview type casting call. We are currently looking for Extras (football players, coaches, trainers) to be in the television series, Necessary Roughness. We are not auditioning principal parts at this time. We are looking for our core group of players/coaches to be in practice scenes, training room /weight room scenes, party scenes, etc. If you worked with us on the pilot or last season, great! We look forward to seeing you again at the casting call. We have different needs for the series, so we want to see everybody. We also want to give you an idea of what to expect if you are selected for one of these positions. We’ll take some pictures, get updated sizes/info/availability, and try to get you in and out as quickly as possible.

If you are a football player and we like what we see, you may be asked to attend an on-field tryout on Friday, March 2nd. You will be given the info after your interview.

CASTING CALL- Video Game Sports Shoot

Sports Studio is casting male football, basketball, hockey, tennis, golfers and referees, as well as female softball players for an upcoming Non-Union shoot for one day in mid-February in the Los Angeles area.

We are casting All ethnicities. Please make sure to check out the various age and physical requirements for each specific casting call, as they are separated by sports.

Be sure to update your profiles. There will be an audition this Friday, February 3rd, with a potential callback next week.

Behind the Scenes: On the Set of Call Me Artie

Earlier this month, Sports Studio was on the set of now-Oscar host Billy Crystal’s newest film, “Call Me Artie,” down in Atlanta. For the project, we cast the baseball players and the little leaguers for the job, as well as provided portions of the wardrobe.

And we were lucky enough to snap some pics on set.
